Very spicy, warm, woody fragrance that projects really well and is dark, gripping, but also has a slight smoky freshness to it, if that makes any sense. Actually reminds me a lot of Terre d’Hermes with the citrus spicy woods, but this one has the bitter grapefruit as opposed to the dry orange. Also kind of reminds me of the birchy versions of Aventus (and/or their clones) for the same reason. This one also has the lavender that gives it some nuance and aromatic flair. Doesn’t really have the sweetness that something like Spicebomb Extreme has, which is good for others, but some might not like the lack of sweetness. It’s really well blended though, so while it is a more aggressive fragrance, it’s not harsh, overdone, or unbalanced in any way. Kind of occupies this unique space between being aggressive, but also seductive and alluring at the same time. Absolutely not for use in warmer weather as it will just be too out of place and might make people (or yourself) sick. Great for colder weather or a cool evening. Works very well for a special occasion, nice dinner, date night, romantic occasion type of situation. Doesn’t really suit the office or an everyday driver type of vibe. Definitely a good projector and compliment-puller, so use it wisely there. Performance is really extraordinary on this one. My wife complimented me on it as soon as I walked in the door from work, close to 11 hours after applying. When I went to take off my clothes later that night, around 14 hours after applying, it was still going strong. So definitely in the beast mode category of fragrances. Price is a little on the high side (around $150) but I still think it’s reasonable, as you don’t need to be using a lot of sprays and this is not an all-year fragrance. Not really blind buy safe, as it is a strong spicy smell that isn’t super sweet and not everyone will be into that, or into smelling that on themselves for 12+ hours. Overall a pretty great fragrance, as it’s kind of hard to deny the quality, effect, and performance of this one. A good one to pick up if you need a winter banger and have the money to spare. I wouldn’t say it is one that everyone NEEDS to have, as there are a lot of other similar frags out there that fill the same role, but I would say it is definitely one to consider if you are indeed looking to fill that role in your collection. Definitely a crowd-pleaser, compliment-puller, and amazing performer. 8.4/10 for me, which is pretty darn good

This stuff is potent, spicy, creamy, smooth, sharp… it seems to manage all of this, easily. It’s an evening scent, in my view anyway… it fills the room, it draws attention, it’s seductive, powerful… my wife even loves it, and she’s hard to please with scents. The lavender base is evident and builds the baseline for this sensation. Performance is a monster with this one so go easy on the sprays As you can very easily overpower a room with its Sillage and projection. I know it’s hyped. I know everyone allegedly has it. But it’s great. It really is. If you had to pick one scent, and you’re not an obsessive niche person, this might be it. I’m exactly that person, I’m not a crazy niche person, I love a great scent, an expensive scent, but I’m not obsessive about it, I’m not an owner of hundreds of niche, I just enjoy a damn good smell! Overall, this is a solid 9/10 for me. The only thing holding it back from a 10 is that it is pretty spicy, which won’t be everyone’s bag and I have to be in the mood for. Packaging is very well done and is eye catching. One fault I can give is the elixer is pretty pricy, but in terms of performance you get your money's worth.

What’s there to say about Sauvage Elixir? Modernized old school fougere that is HEAVY on the spice. And man is this done right! Yes it’s ridiculously strong, yes it projects hard for a few hours, lasts for at least 12 hours on skin, days on clothes, years in your memory. One of the few scents that I smelled at the store and on the mailed scent sample from the magazines and had to buy immediately. **WARNING! This is 100% a single spray fragrance on the chest (skin) if you’re indoors. 2 Spray MAX if you’re outdoors. Super potent, don’t be a jerk and overspray. I’d also advise against wearing this in high heat, since it’s super cloying in those situations. Cold/cooler weather only imo. But rock it now during the summer if you’re feeling it. You do you. If you’re a fan of lavender, cinnamon, and cardamom, this is the way to go. Spicy, smooth, and not as sharp as the OG Sauvage. If you’re a fan of the EDT, there are very small similarities so maybe sniff first before purchasing. If you hate the edt, check this one out! Much more sophisticated and stands out from the entire line! For your average consumer, it’s an iffy fragrance since it holds a high price tag. But the plus is that you’re going to be the center of attention with this and won’t smell like too many other people! For your fragrance enthusiasts (like myself), If you haven’t pulled the trigger, why? This is a staple in every fragrance enthusiast’s collection. Versatility: I’d say an 8/10 during the cooler months. It’s warming, sophisticated, and smells amazing. Again, just don’t overspray and dress the part! Can be used in a T shirt and jeans/shorts, but dress it up a little and make yourself feel like a million bucks.

I normally wear Blue De CHANEL and I haven't cared at all for any of the Savauge fragrances.
I purchased this because of the notes and a sample given to me.

It's an amazing scent on me and the compliments are off the charts.

One full spritze down my neck and chest and I'm done.
It lasts for hours, I've used it during the day but find it more suitable for the evening.
Unfortunately the bottle that I received was damaged and leaking and I went to return it and they only had the larger size which is just to much for an evening fragrance.

The dry down is just as amazing!

This gives Bleu De CHANEL Parfume a run for its money for sure.

I own several nich fragrances and this has become a top three.

I'm thinking about repurchasing in the store itself. At this price I want deluxe samples. Creed is an over priced joke!

I would love a lighter version of this for warmer weather. As stated earlier, I can't tolerate the other Savauge fragrances just awful.
